Our Mission

HELPING HANDS exists to help open hearts to the love of Jesus by modeling that love through practical assistance. Our ministry demonstrates Christ’s compassion by helping with immediate repairs or project needs around the house for those facing unexpected challenges.

Who We Serve

Life can present unforeseen needs—such as illnesses, job loss, or family crises—that make it harder to keep up with household tasks. Through Creswell Church of Christ, Helping Hands strives to relieve some of the stress that accompanies these circumstances. We offer support particularly to senior citizens, widows, and individuals with physical handicaps who may lack other forms of assistance.

Types of Projects

Our team is equipped to assist with a range of minor household tasks, including:

• Minor painting

• Light bulb replacement

• Air filter changes

• Sink and toilet repairs

• Yard cleanup

• Handicap ramp installation

• Gutter cleaning

• Minor home repairs

It is important to note that Helping Hands does not seek to compete with local contractors. Our focus is on serving those who lack other support systems. The team does not take on projects that require a building permit, a licensed electrician or plumber, or multiple days of effort.

Assessment and Scheduling

Once you share your needs, a team member will review the situation and discuss possible solutions, determining whether the ministry is able to assist. If your project falls within our scope, we will provide an estimated date and time for assistance, depending on team member availability and resources.
